DOWNLOAD LOCATION CHANGER · FEATURE GUIDE
Keep recent download folders and pinned paths in Chrome
Recent folders turn repeated path entry into a short list of destinations. Pin the folders you use most, give them an optional name, and keep the current destination recognizable.
Recent paths and pinned favorites
The list records destinations you have used. Star a path to keep it at the top. A favorite does not need a nickname: an unnamed favorite still shows its path. Optional names are useful when several folders end in Sources or Assets.
Rename without changing the destination
Use the pencil action to add or edit a friendly name. Removing the name restores the path-only display; it does not rename the Windows folder. Check the underlying path when working with similar project names.
Arrange the list around your work
Drag paths to reorder them within their pinned or recent group. The recent list scrolls inside the popup when it becomes long. Removing a recent entry removes that shortcut from the list; it is not a request to delete files from Windows.
Recognize and open the current folder
The active destination has a current-use indicator. Long paths retain the root and final folder while the middle is shortened to fit. Use Open folder to inspect the full destination in File Explorer. The default shortcut is Alt+0; Chrome’s extension shortcut settings let you change it if another application already uses that combination.
